Roctopus Dive Awarded Ocean Guardian Award by Dive RAID International

Roctopus Dive Awarded Ocean Guardian Award by Dive RAID International
Roctopus Dive Receives Ocean Guardian Award from Dive RAID International
We are thrilled to announce that Roctopus Dive has been honoured with the Ocean Guardian Award by Dive RAID International, in recognition of our steadfast responsibility, dedication to marine conservation, and enduring commitment to protecting our seas and oceans for future generations.
This award affirms what we believe at our core: that diving and ecology go hand in hand. It celebrates the efforts of our entire team, partners, volunteers, and the many divers who have joined our mission.
A Recognition with Purpose
The Ocean Guardian Award is more than a badge. It recognizes organizations that go above and beyond in marine stewardship, who not only explore underwater worlds but protect and restore them. Receiving this award from RAID—an organization known for its high standards in diving and conservation—reminds us that our efforts are visible and meaningful in the global community.
We accept this award with gratitude and humility, as well as renewed resolve. It strengthens our pledge to continue expanding, refining, and deepening our conservation work.

What Is Roctopus ecoTrust?
At the heart of Roctopus Dive is Roctopus ecoTrust, our dedicated arm for marine conservation, research, and education. Our programs aim to bridge the gap between adventure diving and ecological responsibility.
Here's a summary of some of what we do:
- We offer marine conservation programmes ranging from 1–5 day courses to long-term conservation internships.
- Our conservation internship track (notably the three-month "conservation ecoDivemaster internship") enables trainees to engage in reef health surveys, coral restoration, species monitoring, and underwater habitat assessments.
- Interns and participants work under the mentorship of marine biologists and experienced divers, with direct involvement in coral rehabilitation and ecological restoration projects.
- We welcome people of all experience levels—even those who have never dived before—to get involved, learn, and contribute.
By weaving these programs into our operations, we try to embed conservation not as an afterthought but as a core function of our dive center and community.
Why This Matters
The ocean is under threat: climate change, coral bleaching, overfishing, pollution, and habitat loss all push marine ecosystems toward fragility. Recognition like the Ocean Guardian Award helps amplify awareness. It signals to divers, travelers, students, and supporters that marine conservation is not optional—it's essential.
For us, every dive is an opportunity. An opportunity to learn, to protect, to restore. We believe that by engaging people—locals and visitors alike—in meaningful, hands-on ecology work, we can build broader guardianship of the seas.
Join Us in the Deep
If you've ever been curious about diving, ecology, or contributing to a cause bigger than yourself, now is a perfect time to act. Here's how you can get involved:
- Enroll in a Roctopus ecoTrust programme or internship — whether short or extended, you'll gain knowledge and take real action underwater.
- Support our work by volunteering, donating, or helping spread the word.
- Tell your network—friends, family, fellow travelers—about the power of dive-led conservation.
Under the waves lie vibrant reefs, nurseries for fish, coral gardens, and hidden biodiversity. But they need stewards. An engaged and informed diver is one of the ocean's best allies.
Looking Ahead
Receiving the Ocean Guardian Award is not the end of a journey—it's a milestone, and a call to deepen our work. We aim to further expand our conservation programs, strengthen partnerships, enhance scientific monitoring, and scale our ecological impact.
We hope this recognition inspires you too: to dive deeper (literally and figuratively), to care, and to act. Because together, we can preserve and protect the oceans we depend on—for today and for generations to come.
