Sairee Beach is the largest beach on Koh Tao. It stretches along the west side of Koh Tao and is where many of the resorts, restaurants and bars are located. If your looking for a secluded place to relax, this may not be the best option for you. But it is a beautiful place where you can watch some amazing sunsets.
Tanote Bay is located to the East of the island and is an amzing place to relax and unwind. The bay is surrounded by very steep hills, so a 4×4 Taxi or Taxi boat is required to get here. This is a very nice place to spend the afternoon.
Aow Leuk is one of the places that I like to spend my free time. Located to the south of Koh Tao and quite easy to reach by motorbike, Aow Leuk offers white sand and crystal clear water. There is also a small restaurant where you can get refreshments like an ice cold afternoon beer!
This place is well know for it’s snorkeling (with Blacktip reef sharks), yet the beach itself deserves some credit. It’s usually quiet and very easily accessable. It has white sand, palm trees, and a nice little snack bar.
If your looking for ‘secluded’ beaches, this is the one for you. This tiny beach is hidden on the very south of Koh Tao. It’ s small, beautiful, and usually very quiet. Come here if you need some peace and quiet!
This seperate island (10 mins boat journey from Koh Tao) is one of the most amazing places you can visit. The beach connects three islands together, the only place like it in the world! This is the island that appears on the front of many postcards from Thailand…DO NOT MISS THE CHANCE TO VISIT ONE OF THE BEST BEACHES IN THE WORLD!!!
