Hi and welcome back!

What a month January was for our little island. The first few days, amazing. Then the rain came and it didn’t stop for a week! But our tight island community came together and now our home is more beautiful than ever. Since then we haven’t had very much rain at all which has been nice 🙂

With good weather, conditions under water are amazing! 20-30m visibility is the norm and the ocean is as flat as a tack. When conditions are this good, it’s safe to say that everyone has an epic time hanging with us here at Roctopus Dive.

We’ve finally finished with the repairs and refurb on our speedboat. This means that our island tours, snorkel trips and private charters are all available! What an epic way to see some of the more secluded areas of Koh Tao. For any squads coming over, charter that boat out and fill our esky (ice box) with whatever your heart so desires. That would make for a pretty bloody good day!

We’ve now set up our volleyball net down on the beach. Just about every afternoon, we pop down and start playing. Very quickly, there’s a queue to get on a team. A good way to get your competitive side out. And an even better way to meet some new people. Volleyball, frisbee, beer and the beach. Imagine all of those things in one afternoon after your morning dives that were perfect. It doesn’t get much better if you ask me!

One last thing! I got a dog 🙂 She’s a beautiful old girl (no one is really sure how old she is). Her owner had to leave the island quickly and so Sassy is now in my care. Should be a fun new adventure. At least she can start taking me for walks now haha.
