Well, I’m sorry this has taken so long, but we have been busy busy busy. Towards the end of the year, a tonne of people came to the island to complete their open water certifications, try diving for the first time, complete a higher level certification or to just go out for a bit of fun 🙂 it was an awesome time for them and for us.

With Christmas and New Year’s Day off, it was a chance for all the professional divers and other business operators to let their hair down and get a little fruity. I’ll get to that in my next post though. Today, I want to talk about what’s just happened over the last week.

Koh Tao floods

Koh Tao floods

A few clouds popped up on the horizon, heading towards our island paradise, but I didn’t quite expect what happened next. It didn’t stop. About 3 days of non stop heavy rain. With flooded roads and a few shops being damaged, it was amazing to see the island all rally together in a massive communal effort to get our paradise back to normal!

Clean up groups were organised and teams of people went out together to help businesses that suffered and to clean the streets of rubbish and debris. 1 week later, and our island is better than ever 🙂

The sun is back!
