G’day guys. It’s been a hectic start to the year and I’m loving every second of it. After a splash of rain, the sun is out and Koh Tao is busting with life. So good to see that a lot of people have ignored what the media is saying about the weather and come to our island anyway because they’ve all seen that media is straight up wrong!

Full boats and hostels and dive sites with clear water and an abundance of life, it doesn’t get much better than this! I got to head out to Sail Rock last week for the first time in quite some time and it just does not get old. Huuuuge schools of barracudas, snapper and batfish, it’s safe to say that all of the divers on board our boat Roctopus 2 had a couple of the best dives ever! Calm water, sunshine and some wicked tunes for our surface interval definitely helped as well! And to finish off the day with a few beers down at our favourite spot, Victors Bar, it’s hard to explain how happy everyone is.

Final Clean up day

Final Clean up day

We had one last cleanup this week too, collecting the last little bits of rubbish and clearing the roads of sand, the whole community got together to finish making the island more beautiful than it has ever been.

If you’re stuck at home, not knowing what to do, be spontaneous. Book a trip to Koh Tao. It was the best thing I’ve ever done! Roctopus is currently filling up its DiveMaster Traineeship spots so if you’re interested in joining the Subculture and living in paradise, send us an email or message us on Facebook today!

Thanks for having a read! Until next time.
